Getting Our Feet Wet

The last few days have been quite eventful to say the least. After leaving Banff, we crossed over the Great Divide while leaving Alberta to enter British Columbia, and have ridden 250 miles to Eureka, Montana. The area in BC along the USA/Canada border is known as the Serengeti of the west, and for good reason. We have seen 5 bears, and more deer than you can shake a stick at. The great amount of riding we have done so far has allowed us to eat some great food along the way, most notably Little Debbie's Cream Pies. Unfortunately we never got our Kokanee or Poutine while in Canada... Some of the Passes we have crossed have proven to be quite difficult, "no one said leaving the Canada was going to be easy". Almost all of the 5ish passes have included hiking through the snow. One such pass included numerous river crossings and one section was so steep that Josh's bike almost tumbled down with him before he finished pushing it to the top. Today we are resting in Eureka, and plan to spend the next week to 10 days riding through Montana, which is beautiful by the way.
